Nationals 2010 Wrap-up

Go NSW!Five teams from New South Wales descended upon Melbourne to compete at AAMMNA's 2010 National Championships.

Men's Netball Victoria hosted the week-long tournament at the Oakleigh Recreation Centre. The hosts proved very strong and took the premierships in all divisions contested.

The Open Men, Open Men Reserves and Under 23 teams all competed in a Men's Challenge where teams from each grade played each other.

The NSW Under 19s competed in a grade against their division and Under 17s, while the Open Mixed team competed only against teams in their division.

The NSW Men's Open team placed third, with some impressive victories throughout the tournament. Co-captain Daniel Sommer and Valance Horne made the Australian touring team, while David McKibbins and Roger Quayle were announced as shadow players.

The NSW Open Men's Reserves placed also placed third in their division. Even taking it right up to the Open teams, they also had some impressive wins. Captain Levi Kalepo, Jamie Hardy and Neil Etuati were announced in the Australian Men's Reserves team.
