Mixed Reserves Announced

The final NSW open age team for the 2021 nationals campaign was today announced, with the unveiling of the Mixed Reserves team. Led by Nicole Deguara as Head Coach, the 13-strong team is filled with emerging talent to further showcase the depth being built across the mixed division. “The mixed division just keeps getting stronger and the gap between opens level and reserves is thinning. It’s going to make for some of our best netball get in our mixed reserves program with the talent that we have been able to secure this year” Deguara said

The side, listed below, features past men’s state representatives and current women’s NSW premier league talent, making it a list that coach Deguara says is the strongest field in this division for NSW. “We have had success in this division in the past, and with the list at our disposal this year, we will definitely be on task to repeat that and come home with another title.” Deguara said.

President Clare McCabe spoke of the importance of the quality of our reserves side and the role it plays in our state program. “The mixed reserves division has so many players on the cusp of opens readiness. And that is exactly what we want for our program – pressure for the top spots and emerging talent developing in our feeder teams.” McCabe said.

With the open age teams now selected, MNNSW will now finalise their junior sides to round out a squad that is aiming to achieve multi-team success at the 2021 nationals.
