Congratulations to all NSW teams who competed yesterday in the Semi’s and Finals on the Gold Coast. NSW has had a fantastic result with all NSW reaching the finals series across all 7 divisions . The end result being 5 teams competing in a Grand Final.
Once has already been held. The Under 20’s competition had a change to their draw, with the Grand Final against Queensland played at 4,30 yesterday afternoon. A small but noisy group of supporters watched the NSW team put up a valiant effort, fighting right to the end however were narrowly defeated by 3 goals at the last whistle.
The Under 23’s team played some of their best netball all week, beating SA in the Semi Final which meant an elimination final against QLD. No disappointment for this team. A committed team took to the court with the aim of reaching the Grand Final and with that belief and confidence, played the best game of the week. Whilst defeated by QLD there is nothing but positives to take out of this game to build on for 2018.
The Mens Reserves, also put up a strong fight in their Elimination Final against WA. A replay of the match the night before, the team started the game strongly but faced some stiff competition from the Sandgropers who manged to sneak in the win at the end.
For our other 4 teams, Mens Opens, Mixed Opens and Reserves and Under 17’s all played and won their Semi’s and/or Finals and have reached the Grand Finals which take place today. We wish them all the best for today.
