The countdown is on: M-League commencement date announced

The countdown is on. M-League 2011, NSW's premier men's and mixed netball competition, will commence on Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Time is running out to get involved. Teams and individuals who don't yet belong to teams that are wishing to compete should register their interest with Kelli Douglas on 0433 535 329 as soon as possible.

There are some amendments made to the points information that was previously announced.

  • Players who competed at AMMNA Nationals 2011:
    • Open Men carry 5 points
    • Open Mixed men and ladies carry 4 points
    • 23 & Under men carry 4 points
    • Reserves men carry 3 points
    • Juniors (19 & under and 17 & under grades) are worth a 3-point reduction each unless the player is 20 or older when M-League competition starts, in which case they shall not carry or deduct any points.
  • Players who didn't compete at Nationals 2011, but did compete at AMMNA Nationals 2010:
    • Open men, Open Mixed men and women, Reserves men and 23 & Under men are worth 2 points
    • Juniors carry no points
  • Players who have competed in the ANZ Championship during the past two years are worth 5 points
