M-League 2012 action starts June 17

The state's premier men's and mixed netball competition is back. M-League 2012 will commence on June 17 at Anne Clark Netball Centre, Lidcombe.

The player points system introduced last year to even the competition will be refined in 2012 to improve diversity and calibre of all teams.

A team can have players totalling no more than 21 points on court at any one time, a two-point reduction from last season.

Players under 19 will attract a one-point deduction and players under 17 attract a two-point deduction off team totals.

$1800 up for grabs in our Netball Gala Day on July 7, 2012

Get your team together for the next MMNNSW Netball Gala Day and compete to $1800 in prize money.

The prize money is being offered between winners of open, social and junior competitions.

The event, to be held at Cintra Park, Canada Bay, follows on from the last highly successful Gala Day in November last year.

The action will start at 9am with winners to be decided by 5pm

Registrations close on June 15 so start organising your team now.

Fourteen NSW representatives make Australian teams

Thirteen players and one official representing New South Wales were awarded with Australian team selection at the 2012 National Championships at the Gold Coast over Easter.

Australian teams were chosen for every division and announced at the official presentation last Saturday night.

The open, mixed, 23 & under and 19 & under teams will tour New Zealand for a test series in October.
