On Saturday October 13, MMNNSW squad members visited some of the patients at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Members had the opportunity to meet a young patient Matilda who is a keen netball player.
Matilda talked to the squad members about where she played, her favourite playing positions and showed a genuine love for the game.
"Our brief chat with Matilda really struck a chord with some of the squad members, especially her ability to see the positives and smile through what is a difficult time in her life," MMNNSW committee member Dallas Horo said.
"This visit was truly a very humbling experience for us all."
MMNNSW members who would like to join any future visits should raise interest with a committee member.
